I just love art — it's one of my good habits. I've not perfected it yet, but I'm able to come up with interesting things. I'm good at abstract art, and I just love doing it and showing it for people to enjoy; it's that simple.
Acrylic is Roger’s medium of choice and he paints in a realistic style. He has studied with several artists including James Crow, Pat O’Nan and William Zappone. He maintains memberships with the Lexington Art League, Scott County Art Guild, and the Equine Art Guild in Canada . Over the years Roger’s artwork has been shown in many exhibitions including Art and Wildlife in Kentucky , the Audubon Society, and the Ward Foundation-American Museum of Wildlife Art in Chrisfula, MD.
Alvan Berry ’s interest in drawing and painting was formed at an early age. He now resides with his wife, Genevieve Wilson-Berry, an artist and former Russell County art teacher, in the northwest corner of Harrison County . He enjoys recreating scenes from years past in watercolor.
With one hand on the keyboard and the other playing his trumpet, Harley Cannon brings a unique variety, some would say a one-man-band, anywhere he plays and sings. Blind virtually from birth, he grew up in Maryland where he took to music at an early age. For over 30 years he’s made music in Lexington , Kentucky . He plays at private parties, restaurants, weddings, churches, and special events. He also writes poetry. He is a member of Toastmasters and does public speaking: motivational and on blindness awareness issues. He enjoys encouraging others and spreading the joy of life wherever he goes.
